Kristen Lincks and Brian Hanson Wed
Sea Cliff couple tie knot with Irish-themed celebration.

Kristen Lincks of Glen Head had a feeling about Brian Hanson right from date one.
The two had met as children through one of Brian’s relatives, but they’d lost touch for decades, until they ran into each other randomly in New York City last year. And it was during their first date on February 17, 2010 at Buckram Stables Cafe in Locust Valley that Kristen instinctively knew that Brian was “the one.”
She felt so sure that she sent her best friend a very determined text message that read, “I am going to marry this guy.”

Sure enough, six months later while vacationing in San Francisco, Brian asked Kristen to marry him as the two sat on a small boat floating beneath the Golden Gate Bridge.
“It was literally the most unbelievable moment,” gushed Kristen of the romantic, moonlit proposal. “We were inseparable ever since.”

Kristen, 31, is a special education teacher at the North Shore High School in Glen Head. The groom, 34, grew up in East Northport and is employed as a project manager at Aon Hewitt.
On March 19, 2011, they made their union official with a wedding at the . Because both the bride and the groom are of partial Irish descent (and the wedding took place two days after St. Patrick’s Day), that became the reception theme.
The groomsmen and ring bearer wore matching “shamrock” bow-ties and cummerbunds purchased at Vineyard Vines. The wedding colors included navy blue, ivory and green. Their sizeable bridal party consisted of twenty family members and friends, including Kristen’s maid of honor, her cousin Dr. Tricia Greene, and man of honor, John McCullough, the bride’s lifelong best friend, whom she’d texted during her first date with Brian. The groom’s brother Timothy Hanson served as the best man.
The couple flew off to Antigua on April 16 for a romantic honeymoon getaway. They now live in Sea Cliff with their beloved yellow Labrador, Clover.
