When a fellow Rival Impact member — Vincent Carmona — was killed by the “Thirty-O” crew, Smith began plotted killing the deaths of Serrano and Washington, prosecutors said.

Smith and "Mermaid Boy" Nabiu Mansara drove through the streets of the Flatiron district until they found Serrano’s car, then waited quietly for their two victims to return, said prosecutors.
