Elizabeth Warren To Speak At Union Square Barnes & Noble

Senator Elizabeth Warren will discuss her new book at the Union Square Barnes & Noble.

UNION SQUARE, NY — Senator Elizabeth Warren is speaking at the Union Square Barnes & Noble on Tuesday evening, where she'll discuss her new book and fans can buy pre-signed copies.

The Democratic senator from Massachusetts will promote her new book "This Fight Is Our Fight: The Battle to Save America's Middle Class," released on Tuesday. The talk is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the bookstore, 33 East 17th St., and you can get a wristband to attend the event by purchasing a copy of Warren's book.

Warren has emerged as vocal opponent of President Donald Trump and his administration in the past few months. Her opposition to Trump's then-nominee for attorney general, Jeff Sessions, earned her a moment of internet celebrity in February after the Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell cut short Warren's remarks. Warren's supporters rallied around her after the incident, many taking to social media to voice their support.

Before Tuesday night's talk, Warren visited Wall Street's newest statue, the "Fearless Girl," and stopped to pose for a photo.

The temporary statue, which is currently facing off against lower Manhattan's famous Charging Bull, is set to remain in Manhattan through February, although the Charging Bull's sculptor is asking for the girl to be moved before then.
