Attempted Bank Robbery in Murray Hill Tuesday: NYPD
The man slid a note to the bank teller demanding money, but walked away empty-handed, police told Patch.
MURRAY HILL, NY — Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a Murray Hill Chase bank Tuesday, but walked out empty-handed.
At 2:35 p.m., the man (pictured above) walked into the Chase bank at 2 Park Ave. The man then passed a note that demanded money to the 47-year-old female bank teller, police told Patch.
The teller walked away from the window and the man then fled the bank without taking any money, police said.

There were no reported injuries during the incident, police told Patch.
Police described the suspect as a black male, standing at 5-foot-6 and weighing about 155 pounds. He's about 40-years old and has a slight beard. The man was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, grey sweatpants, black and white sneakers and latex gloves.
