Reconstruction of Pershing Square West Paused for the Holidays

There will be no construction work from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2.

MIDTOWN, NY — There will be no construction on the Pershing Square West Project from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2 due to the holidays, the NYC Department of Design and Construction said.

Main highlights of the project include roadway reconstruction, installing new trunk and planting trees at Pershing Square West and construction of a pedestrian plaza at Park Avenue West from East 41st Street to East 42nd Street.

Construction will resume at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Water shut-off notifications will be distributed and posted to all affected locations to either confirm or cancel the scheduled water shut offs within 72 hours.
