Super Bowl Shabbat With A Champion

Former Dallas Cowboys lineman and Super Bowl XXVII champion Alan Veingrad will keynote a “Super Bowl Shabbat” Luncheon at Great Neck Synagogue on Feb.2.

At the luncheon, Veingrad will speak about his life’s journey and the lessons that his football career taught him about positivism, personal excellence, leadership, team play, and spiritual connection.

According to Rabbi Avraham Bronstein, Program Director at Great Neck Synagogue, Alan is the only Orthodox Jew who wears a Super Bowl ring as a former player, which makes his presence even more anticipated. The entire community is looking forward to capitalizing on the natural excitement over the Superbowl, infusing it with positive values and a particularly inspiring Jewish message.

The luncheon is part of the Great Neck Synagogue Shabbat Dinner & Guest Speakers Series. Previous speakers this year have included Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and Britian’s Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks.
