Great Neck designer opens boutique fashion camp for girls 8–16 this July

Lead by working fashion designer: NY, Miami, Shanghai, Delhi

A new summer program is opening on Middle Neck Road, and it’s run by a working fashion designer rather than a generic camp operator.

Long Island Fashion Camp is a hands-on design program for girls ages 8 to 16, taught by Great Neck-based designer Yulia Berman. Yulia trained for four years as an apprentice under a Parsons fashion design professor at the New England Fashion + Design Association in Connecticut, has shown collections on New York Fashion Runways (New York Swim Week) and at multiple Miami Swim Week shows, and currently serves as Creative Director of two fashion channels reaching 20 million viewers a month.

She has trained more than 300 students over her career.

The camp runs across two weeks this July — Week 1 (July 13–17) is “The Perfect Summer Dress” and Week 2 (July 20–24) is “The Glam Gown.” In each week, every girl designs and sews a complete garment from scratch, then walks it down a real runway at the

Grand Finale Runway Show on Sunday, July 26 at 12pm. Families are invited. Sessions are intentionally small — a maximum of 9 students each — with morning (9am–1pm), afternoon (1pm–5pm), and full-day (9am–5pm) options.
