Great Neck Resident Announces Law Firm Expansion & Grand Opening

Wisselman Harounian Family Law opened expanded offices in Carle Place. The firm will celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception.

Due to increased demand by clients during the pandemic, and the need for larger office space and conference rooms to accommodate social distancing and virtual courtrooms, Wisselman Harounian Family Law, has expanded to a new location in Nassau County. The firm will be celebrating with a ribbon cutting ceremony and outdoor reception on October 1, 2021 at 3 pm, and local businesses, networking partners, colleagues, family and friends are attending the event.

The firm was established in 1976, and is one of the longest running family law firms in New York. During its 45 year history, the firm has grown to one of the largest and most highly rated law firms that specialize in family law. The firm was previously in Great Neck on the North Shore for over 20 years.

Wisselman Harounian Family Law is also unique in its thorough approach to addressing the mental health issues and concerns of clients in crisis. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on relationships and families. Domestic violence and divorces are on the rise. It is imperative that legal professionals approach family law disputes with compassion and a real understanding of relationship conflict and mental health challenges, including substance abuse issues, anxiety and depression. The firm has a full time licensed social worker on staff, and partner Harounian has an advanced degree in Behavioral Forensic Psychology. Says Harounian, “I am proud that our firm has always prioritized the mental health and well-being of our clients, by offering mediation, referrals to counselors, support groups, and above all, being responsive to the client’s needs throughout their case. We have always offered a free consultation, and have a long history of pro bono service for victims of domestic violence, including those referred by The Safe Center and UJA.”

The new office space is centrally located at 346 Westbury Avenue, less than a mile from the Nassau County courts, and the Bar Association. The four conference rooms are equipped with the latest A/V technology. The office has a large parking lot and access to many local businesses as well as accessible to the railroad and expressways. The building was completely renovated by Park Row Partners, and is the home of other tenants including Hand in Hand Physical Therapy, Women and Wealth Solutions, Child Life Pediatrics PC, Oshun Beauty and Joey’s Tech Repair.

The firm is also celebrating new partners Derrick Rubin and Lloyd Rosen, who have been with the firm for over 20 years. Partner Jacqueline Harounian began working with the firm as a law student in 1993. Founder Jerome Wisselman has grown the firm with Harounian to a team of nine lawyers, and ten paralegals and staff. The firm also includes attorneys specializing in estate planning, prenups, real estate, religious divorce and fertility law which are also active practice areas.
