To help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the
Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, we’re excited to kick off a special Facebook
contest. Do you know a local hero? Someone who selflessly helped others after
Hurricane Sandy?
“Community Heroes of Hurricane Sandy” is a contest honoring
individuals who helped make a difference in their community following the
devastation of Hurricane Sandy. We
invite you to submit a 200 word or less essay nominating yourself or someone you
know deserving of being called a Community Hero.
Ten winners will be selected by a Bethpage judging committee, with one Grand Prize Winner receiving a once in a lifetime
opportunity to fly with the GEICO Skytypers! Nominees must resident in Nassau,
Suffolk or Queens Counties. Fans can
nominate as many individuals as they would like.

Deadline for participation in the contests is May 3, 2013 at
4 pm ET. The winners will be contacted
privately by email, and announced on May 7, 2013 on our Facebook Page. All ten winners will receive a complete
Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach Prize Package, which includes: four VIP
tickets to the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach Reception held at the Cradle of
Aviation Museum, four VIP tickets to the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, four
tickets to a GEICO Skytypers Planeside Meet & Greet, and exclusive Bethpage
Air Show at Jones Beach merchandise.
