• Temple Israel to hold 9/11 service at Saddle Rock bridge (longislandpress.com) — Temple Israel of Great Neck will hold its annual 9/11 commemoration on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. at the Saddle Rock 9/11 Memorial Bridge, closing traffic during the service. Residents can join firefighters and guest speaker Rabbi Lisa Sacks, a 7 World Trade Center survivor, for prayers, tributes, and reflections on the attacks and their aftermath.
