Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver Who Seriously Hurt Pedestrian in Nassau County
Police have shared surveillance footage of the vehicle fleeing the scene Friday morning.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a pedestrian in Great Neck Plaza Friday morning.
According to police, a 43-year-old man was attempting to cross South Middle Neck Road at Barstow Road when he was struck by an SUV heading southbound on South Middle Neck Road at 9:53 a.m.
Surveillance footage of the vehicle, which suffered extensive damage to the passenger side headlight and fender area, leaving the scene is shared above.

Police believe the vehicle may be a 2009 to 2015 Nissan Rogue that is gray or light blue/gray.

The pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
