The Village of Great Neck Plaza, in coordination with Poetry
Coordinator, Carolyn Raphael, Contest Judge, Gladys L. Henderson, and Nancy
Solomon of Long Island Traditions, invite you to attend the Third Annual
Awards Reading Day event taking place on Sunday, April 21 at Village Hall at
2 p.m. The public is invited to join us
in this celebration of Poetry Month and to hear the readings of these award
winning poems. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
As a special treat, the first six people who contact us at Village Hall will be
given the chance to read two short poems during an open microphone performance. The winners of this year’s poetry
contest, who as part of their award will be reading on April 21st,
are the following:
First

Beach,” will receive $150.00 and a 20-minute reading; Second

posted for two weeks at the above noted public locations.
