• Guilderland puts one year pause on data centers (news10.com) — Guilderland officials have enacted a one-year pause on all new data centers, going beyond New York State's moratorium on only very large facilities. Existing operations like the Tower Place center can continue, but town leaders want time to study impacts on energy costs, water use, infrastructure, and the nearby Pine Bush ecosystem before allowing more projects. 
• Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes coming to Albany (news10.com) — Guilderland comedy fans can catch Anjelah Johnson-Reyes at the Albany Funny Bone inside Crossgates Mall, with four shows scheduled February 6 and 7 as part of her 2027 tour. The stand-up star, known for multiple specials and her "Funjelah" podcast, will perform two sets each day, with tickets available at the club box office or online.
