Bellone Invites Young Golfers to Summer Program

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone invites young golfers to register for a junior golf program this summer.

 

All four Suffolk County Junior Golf events are one-day, 9-hole or 18-hole outings for boys and girls ages 9 – 17.

“Young athletes will have a chance to match their skills against others and enjoy four fine courses available to them in Suffolk County,” Bellone said.

The fee is $140 for players 12–17 (18-hole players) and $125.00 for players 9–11 (9-hole players). This fee includes four rounds of golf, practice balls at each course, one golf lesson clinic, pro shop giveaways, and the awards banquet on the final day.

A special golf lesson clinic for all participants will be held on: Wednesday, July 2 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the West Sayville Golf Course. Fred Gipp, PGA head professional at West Sayville, will run the teaching clinic.

West Sayville CC (567-1704), West Sayville, Monday, July 7, 2 p.m.

Indian Island CC (727-7776), Riverhead, Monday, July 14, 2  p.m.

Bergen Point CC (661-8282), West Babylon, Monday, July 21,  2 p.m.

Timber Point CC (581-2401), Great River, Thursday, August 7, 2  p.m.
