Five Towns College Spring Concert II with the FTC Chamber Orchestra, Vocal Jazz & Choir.

The biggest FTC Chamber Orchestra ever, 18-members strong, conducted by composer- conductor-violinist Mathew Pierce, perform Mozart’s tender and delicate Divertimento K and Georges Bizet most famous tune Les Toreodors from the most performed opera on the planet Carmen. Matthew Pierce is celebrated for his new classical scores, commissioned by major American ballet companies.

The FTC Vocal Jazz Ensemble is directed by Steven Gleason drawing on the vocal group tradition of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Manhattan Transfer and the Swingle Singers, inspired by 50 years of contemporary musical artists, adding breathtaking new arrangements, exciting energetic beats and haunting harmonies.

The 80-member FTC Choir, directed by Music Department Chairman and choral expert Jeffrey Lipton, performs more difficult and challenging traditional and contemporary choral works of the great composers.
