DIX HILLS, NY — Annabel Ganz of Dix Hills was presented the 2022 Half Hollow Hills High School East Legislative District 17 Citizenship Award by Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly (D — Deer Park).

Ganz is a talented artist who has also balanced academics with both school and community service. In addition to being involved in a multitude of school activities, she conducts community outreach at her local temple and is a volunteer at Catpurrccinos Cat Café in Huntington where she helps socialize and take care of rescued cats.

She learned that she was the recipient of the award during the high school’s senior awards ceremony in June, where Donnelly presented her with a County Proclamation.

“It was a pleasure to recognize Annabel Ganz for her service and accomplishments," Donnelly said. "She truly embodies the intended spirit of the Citizenship Award. I know that she has a very bright future, and I wish her all of the best."
