Civic Offers to Help Voters Out Before Nov. 2
House Beautiful said it will show any confused voters how to operate the new machines before Election Day
Attention those scared off by new technology. House Beautiful--one of Dix Hills' oldest and largest civic associations--has offered to help any residents who don't feel comfortable using the new voting machines before the general election on Nov. 2.
At House Beautiful's annual meeting, which will be held this year on Oct. 19-- at the Dix Hills branch of the Half Hollow Hills Library--several Suffolk County Board of Elections workers will bring two new machines and demonstrate how to use them. Attendees will be able to practice as many times as they want, said House Beautiful's president, Patricia Giambalvo.
The meeting will begin a little earlier than normal, at 6:30 pm. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
