Contrary to what most people believe, head lice is a year-round problem. There are, however, certain times of the year when head lice tend be more prevalent. Whenever, kids get together in large groups, the chances of head lice being spread among them tends to increase. The spring season is one of those times.
Head lice prevention starts with being aware of how it is spread. Head lice do not jump or fly. So how do children contract head lice from one another?
The main avenue through which head lice are spread is direct contact, i.e. head-to-head contact, sharing brushes and sharing hats and/or head gear.

This spring be sure that your child does not share helmets or other head gear with other children on their team. If there is no option but to share, be sure that your child wears a protective barrier between their head and the head gear such as a baseball cap. And always, be sure to use plenty of prevention products like our non-toxic "Hair, There, Everywhere" Spray.
