• Hampton Bays Schools Superintendent Named NY State Superintendent of 2027 (danspapers.com) — Hampton Bays residents can celebrate as longtime schools superintendent Lars Clemensen has been named New York State Superintendent of the Year for 2027, recognizing his leadership of the local district. Under his tenure, Hampton Bays schools expanded advanced courses, bilingual and career programs, opened a LEED-certified middle school, and launched the Baymen Financial Literacy Center, all aimed at better preparing local students for life after graduation. 
• Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Shinnecock Hills: PD (patch.com) — A Hampton Bays man was arrested on DWI charges after police say his car left the road and hit a utility pole late Friday night in Shinnecock Hills. Southampton Town officers reported no injuries, but the driver faces aggravated DWI, DWI, and multiple traffic infractions, with arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court.
