East River Plaza Participates in "Light It Blue" Campaign

ERP joined other high-profile buildings nationwide in lighting blue to show their support for nurses and doctors and will do so every night

East River Plaza, a Blumenfeld Development Group property located in East Harlem, was one of 150+ buildings across the nation who participated in the “Light It Blue” initiative to thank healthcare professionals who are working around the clock to treat patients amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

A wave of blue spread through NYC and the United States, as buildings including Yankee Stadium, One World Trade Center, Madison Square Garden, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the Staples Center, and Boston City Hall lit up blue in a display of strength and unity.

The “Light It Blue” campaign originated in the U.K., after organizers were inspired by the #ClapForOurCarers movement, which has been implemented worldwide.
