Harlem's Uptown Night Market Adds Katz's Deli, Maybe Melba's
Those famed NYC eateries are among the newly announced vendors at the open-air market, coming to West Harlem in July. Here's the latest.

HARLEM, NY — Organizers of the eagerly awaited Uptown Night Market revealed a slew of new vendors joining the open-air event on Monday, including a few that are household names in Harlem and across the city.
Katz's Deli, the venerated Lower East Side Jewish delicatessen, will open a stand at the monthly market, serving their classic pastrami sandwich with pickles, organizers told Patch.
Meanwhile, Melba's, a Harlem soul food staple, is also in talks to join the market, which will be held on the second Thursday of every month starting July 8.

The popular Harlem spot LoLo's Seafood Shack is also in talks to participate, a market spokesperson said.
They will join previously announced vendors like German Bratwurst, Fried Lasagna Mama and Downeast Lobstah — plus "an eclectic assortment of merchandise, arts & crafts, and body-care products," organizers said.
The Uptown Night Market was organized by MASC Hospitality Group — the people behind the popular Bronx Night Market — in partnership with Harlem Park to Park, the West Harlem Development Corporation and Harlem Late Night Jazz.
It will run through Nov. 11.
Visitors can RSVP on Eventbrite (entry is free, but capacity will be limited), and prospective vendors can apply too. Organizers ultimately hope to enlist more than 50 minority-owned small businesses from the neighborhood and throughout the city.
