Civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton will deliver Neely's eulogy after being invited to do so by Neely's family and the Harlem church's senior pastor, Rev. Johnnie Melvin Green Jr.

“As we face sorrow, pain, and uncertainty in the wake of Jordan’s senseless killing, it is crucial that we come together in the spirit of healing, action, and perseverance,” Green said in a statement. “I can think of no one better, no one more equipped to meet this moment with that grace and guidance than Rev. Sharpton.”

It is not the first time Green is involved in a eulogy for the Neely family following a violent death.

Green also gave the eulogy for Neely's mother, who was murder by her boyfriend in 2007.

Mount Neboh Baptist Church will broadcast a livestream of the funeral on Friday from its YouTube page — which you can watch, HERE.

Daniel Penny, the Long Island man who put Neely in the fatal chokehold, was released on bond on May 12 after his arraignment on a manslaughter charge in Manhattan Criminal Court.

The former Marine was taken into custody after Neely's death but originally released without charges.

Penny is due back in court July 17.
