Man Knifed To Death Following Dispute In Manhattan Identified, Police Say

HARLEM, NY — Police have identified the man stabbed to death in Harlem this Saturday as 33-year-old Jervey Barfield, New York City Police Department officials said Monday.

According to the NYPD, Barfield was stabbed several times in the back following a dispute in front of 2640 Frederick Douglass Blvd. on the corner of West 141st Street on Saturday at 5:27 a.m.

When medics arrived, Barfield was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing, police said. Police said it was not clear yet what the dispute leading up to the attack was about.
