Woman Raped In Harlem Subway Station, Police Say

HARLEM, NY — Police are searching for a suspect Tuesday after a 21-year-old woman was raped in a Harlem subway station, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the woman was inside the 125th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue subway station on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. when a man sexually assaulted her.

The woman then left the station and went to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

According to the New York Daily News, the attacker was the woman's date that evening.

Police said the investigation is underway, and no arrests have been made yet. Police released a photo of the suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

Police said anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
