• Cranberry Lake Preserve Volunteer Day Brings Fujifilm Workers, $7,500 Gift To Parks Foundation (patch.com) — Residents may notice extra activity at Cranberry Lake Preserve in West Harrison, where Fujifilm employees spent a volunteer day improving trails, checking reforestation plantings, and building new benches for environmental education programs. The company and its workers also donated $7,500 to the Westchester Parks Foundation, supporting long-term preservation and accessibility of county parkland used by many Harrison families.

• Heroin Bust On The Hutch: K9 Vinn Sniffs Out Stash Of Packaged Narcotics, NYSP Report (patch.com) — Drivers on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison were briefly pulled into a serious police operation when troopers stopped a vehicle and, with help from K9 Vinn, uncovered about 500 glassine envelopes of suspected heroin. A Massachusetts man was arrested on felony drug possession with intent to sell and is due back in Harrison Town Court later this month.
