Haverstraw Police Arrest Bronx Man in 'Rockland Shipping' Fraud Scheme Involving More Than Two Dozen Complaints (monseyscoop.com) — Haverstraw Police say a Bronx man has been charged in an alleged fraud scheme tied to a business called Rockland Shipping that took payments from residents sending packages abroad from the village. After complaints to Rockland County Consumer Protection, detectives worked with NYPD to arrest the suspect, who now faces a felony scheme‑to‑defraud charge. Potential victims are urged to contact Haverstraw Police detectives.

Historic Hudson River Towns Supports All Aboard Hudson Valley West Shore Passenger Rail Feasability Study (rocklanddaily.com) — Haverstraw is among the riverfront communities whose coalition, Historic Hudson River Towns, is urging New York State to study restoring passenger rail on the West Shore Line.
