Man Choked Woman On Brooklyn Subway To Get Her Necklace: Cops
The man tried to steal a 24-year-old woman's necklace after talking to her on a 2 train near the Borough Hall station.
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a woman on New Year's Eve by choking her on the 2 train near Borough Hall station.
The man came up to the 24-year-old woman around noon as their southbound 2 train was pulling into Borough Hall, police said. He engaged her in a brief conversation, but then started to choke the woman and tried to remove her necklace.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction without the necklace.

Police describe him as a bald black man, about 35 years old, approximately 5'8" with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark colored shirt, blue jeans, white scarf, yellow boots and dark colored glasses.
