Target Store Shootout Leaves 1 Man Dead, Police Say

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN -- A man was shot dead inside the Target Store at City Point late Wednesday night, police said.

Emergency responders rushed to the store at 445 Albee Square where they found Carlton Spencer, 25, with a gunshot wound in his chest at about 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 7, said police.

Spencer, of Flatbush, was rushed to a Brooklyn hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, police said.

Investigators found a gun near the store and are questioning a 26-year-old man about the shooting, said police.
