Cyclist Struck On Smith Street, FDNY And Witness Say

A shirtless biker was struck near Smith and State streets around noon Thursday, said a witness and the FDNY.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — A cyclist was hit by a vehicle in Brooklyn Heights on Thursday, officials and witnesses said.

The biker and the vehicle collided at the intersection of Smith and State streets around 12:05 p.m., said an FDNY spokesman.

Jasmine Fabre, 30, an employee at AAA Bail Bonds, said she saw the shirtless, spandex-clad biker standing with paramedics and holding a white cloth his wounded shoulder.

Fabre did not see the vehicle at the scene, she said.

An FDNY spokesman said the victim refused medical attention.
