Pro-Trump Blogger Complains Women-Only 'Wonder Woman' Screenings Violate His Rights

Jack Posobiec made an official complaint that women-only "Wonder Woman" screenings violate his rights.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A pro-Trump blogger claimed he's filed a civil rights complaint against a Brooklyn movie theater for hosting women-only screenings of "Wonder Woman" – and he also hit out at TV host Carson Daly for promoting it.

Jack Posobiec, whose pro-Trump stories can be read on the Canadian conservative blog The Rebel, tweeted a copy of the complaint that he said he'd filed with the city's Commission on Human Rights against Alamo Drafthouse and Daly on Wednesday.

“I was refused the right to purchase a ticket to a movie this weekend at the Alamo Drafthouse because of my male gender,” Posobiec wrote in his complaint.

“Carson Daly then went on his Today Show to advocate for the business [sic] clear violation of my civil rights.”

Posobiec, whom Buzzfeed reports recently lost his job after promoting the Seth Rich Wikileaks conspiracy, did not respond to request for comment.

Posobiec is not the first to complain about Alamo Drafthouse — a movie theater in downtown Brooklyn that will host three women-only screenings of "Wonder Woman" the week after its release on June 2.

The movie theater was slammed by hundreds of men on Twitter for refusing to sell men tickets to three shows.

The Drafthouse responded to their complaints with two GIFs — one of Wonder Woman punching a man into the ocean and another of her happily twirling when tickets to the female-only screening sold out.

Twitter responded to Posobiec’s announcement on Wednesday with messages of support, but also with tweets with offers to send him diapers, various images of snowflakes and a GIF of Ron Swanson giggling.

A spokesman for the Commission on Human Rights said the agency does not comment on open or potential investigations. Alamo Drafthouse did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
