4 Nassau People Arrested After Prescription Medications For Sale Found: Police

The medications were found in a New Cassel restaurant and a Westbury market, police say.

WESTBURY, NY — Four people were arrested after a quality-of-life initiative was conducted on Monday night, police said.

Nassau County police said the Strategist Response Team Officers responded to Uptown Restaurant on Prospect Avenue in New Cassel and Cremosa Market located on Post Avenue in Westbury. After investigating, it was found that both establishments were in possession of various prescription medications displayed for sale, police said. NCPD said the medications were believed to originate from South America.

Both establishments were locked and secured after the initiative was conducted at 7:58 p.m., NCPD said.

The four people arrested were Ana A. Salvador Soto, 32, of Westbury, Ana G. Pineda Quijada, 50, of Westbury, Francisco O. Espinal, 48, of New Cassel, and Kendra C. Lopez Collado, 42, of Hicksville, police said. They were all charged with third-degree criminal diversion of prescription medication, NCPD said.

They were all issued appearance tickets returnable to First District Court on March 5, NCPD said.
