LI Driver Arrested After Tragic Crash That Killed 2 Young Women, 19: PD

The 23-year-old man will be arraigned on Jan. 30 in Hempstead, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a tragic Hicksville crash that took the lives of two 19-year-olds on Jan. 23, police said.

Frank Labidi of Farmingville has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter and two counts of second-degree assault, Nassau County police said.

Two young women, Alexa Duryea and Lindsey Parke, both of Levittown, died in the horrific crash, NCPD said.

Hearts were shattered across LI for both of the women, and a GoFundMe has been set up for both Duryea's family and Parke's family. Services have been set for Duryea, and loved ones have shared kind words on the GoFundMe page for her. Parke was a volunteer firefighter with the Levittown Fire Department, Ladder Company 6, and the FD shared a touching tribute on their Facebook page

According to NCPD, the crash took place at 11:30 p.m in Hicksville. Detectives said Libidi was operating a 2026 white BMW, heading westbound on Old Country Road in the vicinity of Sterling Place, where he lost control of his vehicle, crossed over into oncoming traffic, and struck a tree — and then a building.

The two female passengers suffered severe trauma and were pronounced at the scene, police said. The driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment, police said.

Labidi will be arraigned on Jan. 30 at First District Court in Hempstead, NCPD said.
