Hicksville Man Arrested For Gunpoint Robbery: Police
Another suspect in the February robbery has yet to be arrested, police say.
A Hicksville man was arrested Friday for robbing a man at gunpoint in February, police say.
According to authorities, Alberto Alvarez, 25, and another person who has yet to be arrested approached a 35-year-old man who had just walked home from work and was in front of his Broadway home in Westbury at 7:55 p.m.
Alvarez and the other suspect displayed a handgun and placed it to the man's forehead and demanded money, police say. Alvarez and the other robber fled the scene with about $500 in proceeds, police say.

An investigation led authorities to identifying Alvarez and he was located at his home Friday at 11:40 p.m. and placed under arrest.
Alvarez was charged with first-degree robbery, criminal use of a firearm and an unrelated charge of fourth-degree grand larceny for property that was recovered from his home, police say.

He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
