BREAKING: Three others were injured from the single-car crash Saturday morning, police say.
A Massapequa man was killed after police say he was ejected from his vehicle during a single-car crash that injured three others Saturday morning in Westbury, police say.
According to authorities, Michael M. Deveny, 33, was driving three passengers in a 1998 Nissan Altima eastbound on School Street when he lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to crash into a utility pole, a tree and a stop sign before coming to a rest near Madison Street at 4:45 a.m.
Police say the crash's impact led Deveny to be ejected from the vehicle, causing him a fatal injury. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Police Paramedic.
