Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Carle Place

A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday afternoon in Carle Place, police say.

According to authorities, Kristopher Flannery, 34, of Astoria, was attempting to cross Glen Cove Road, near Fairfield Avenue, when he was struck by a 2012 Honda Accord that was traveling northbound. at 1:47 p.m.

Flannery was transported to Winthrop University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported and police do not suspect criminality.
