Westbury Woman Altered $1 Money Orders, Cashed Them for $1,000 Each: Police
The 21-year-old was arrested Tuesday.

A Westbury woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she altered several $1 money orders and cashed them for $1,000 each over a one month period.
From July 21 to Aug. 10, Nedelyne Coq, 21, cashed and attempted to cash altered money orders that read $1,000 instead of their purchased $1 value at post offices in Roosevelt, Atlantic Beach and Westbury.
Coq would present her New York State Driver’s License as identification during these transactions, police say. She caused the U.S. Post Office to sustain a loss of $3,000 by allegedly cashing three of the altered money orders.
