Woman Caught Smoking Marijuana In Front Of Her Daughter: Police
Police say they also found marijuana and 51 Adderall pills in her possession on Friday night.

A Carle Place woman faces drug possession charges after police say she was found smoking marijuana with her 15-year-old daughter present in the vehicle on Friday night.
According to Nassau Police, officers observed Hilda Mejia, 37, smoking marijuana while her daughter was present in the vehicle in front of her Westbury Avenue home at 9:56 p.m. Officers then recovered a zip lock bag and a pill container containing marijuana and 51 Adderall pills from Mejia's vehicle, police say.
An investigation also revealed Mejia had a suspended driver's license, police say.

Mejia was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful dealing with a child, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
She will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
