UPDATED: Police Identify 2 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Fort Salonga Crash
A vehicle crashed into a tree Tuesday morning, police said.

FORT SALONGA, NY- Authorities have identified the three victims of the single-car crash that left two men dead and another seriously injured in Fort Salonga Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, Leland Acampora, 26, of Hauppague, was driving a Hyundai Sonata westbound on Fort Salonga Road, near Makamah Road, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree at 4:30 a.m.

Acampora and the back seat passenger, identified as 26-year-old Commack resident Woody Zalman, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The front seat passenger, identified as 26-year-old East Northport resident Paul Weingart, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
Fort Salonga Road was closed in both directions between Rinaldo Road and Bread and Cheese Hollow Road for several hours following the crash. Eastbound Makamah Road was closed from Breeze Hill Road to Fort Salonga Road.
