3. $1.2K In Clothes Stolen From Huntington Marshalls, Police Say (patch.com) β Huntington residents are being asked to help police identify two women accused of stealing about $1,200 in mostly Nike clothing from the Marshalls on New York Avenue in Huntington Station. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Second Squad detectives are investigating the Aug. 13 grand larceny and are offering a cash reward for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest.

Fire Island veterinarian boat brings care to pets in need (newsday.com) β A Fire Island veterinarian known as Dr. Teddy now treats pets by boat, sparing vacationers stressful trips back to the mainland. He previously owned a Banfield Pet Hospital in Huntington Station for seven years, bringing local experience to his floating clinic. His Vet Boat service handles exams, follow-ups, and minor issues right at island homes, emphasizing convenience and reduced anxiety for animals.
