Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined the Town of Huntington to honor fallen NYPD Officer Charles A. Oddo.

Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently joined the Town of Huntington to honor fallen NYPD Officer Charles A. Oddo by renaming Verleye Park in East Northport. The event, attended by nearly 250 people, was held to remember Oddo’s life of dedicated service to the community as a Commack volunteer firefighter, paramedic, and mechanic.

“Officer Charles Oddo inspired all of us with his selfless dedication as a police officer, fireman and community volunteer,” Lupinacci said. “His memory remains strong throughout the Huntington community, and now he has been eternalized with the dedication of this park.”

“There is a special quality within every police officer and fireman that inspires them to dedicate their lives to the safety of our neighborhoods. It is that selfless service that makes our finest and bravest true everyday heroes,” Lupinacci said.
