Caryn Pincus Appointed to Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities (ACLD) Board of Trustees

PINCUS BRINGS PERSONAL PASSION TO LEADING LONG ISLAND NOT-FOR-PROFIT

BETHPAGE, N.Y. – Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD), a leading Long Island based not-for-profit agency devoted to supporting the pursuit of an enviable life for children and adults with autism, learning and other developmental disabilities, is proud to announce the appointment of Caryn Pincus (Huntington) to its Board of Trustees.

An ACLD Quality of Services Committee member since 2016, Pincus is CEO and owner of Pincus Law Group, PLLC in Uniondale, a full-service law firm focusing on representing corporate clients in real estate closings, commercial litigation, foreclosures and related practice areas.

“I’m at the point in my life where I can give back to something I believe in, and having a sister with a developmental disability, I believe in the mission of ACLD,” said Pincus. ”I look forward to using my own personal experience to help better the lives of children and adults who are supported by and take part in ACLD’s programs.”

“We are thrilled to have Caryn join us,” said Joseph J. Ortego, Esq., President of ACLD’s Board of Trustees. “She has tremendous personal and professional passion for our mission and will be of great value to the agency.”

Pincus was admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey in 2007 and in Florida in 2008. She graduated cum laude in 2006 from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in New York where she was also Vice President of both the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Society and the Jewish Law Students Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University in Florida.

Founded in 1957, Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2017, the organization continues to provide opportunities for children and adults with autism, learning and other developmental disabilities to pursue enviable lives, increase independence and foster supportive relationships within the community. ACLD employs more than 1,100 people and operates 80 different program sites including group homes and apartment programs across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
