  1. Check out what's going on in November at the Cinema Arts Centre. It's a busy month which includes concert films, open mic nights, horror movies projected from archival 35mm, film and discussion programs, screenings of cult favorites, family friendly films, influential classic films, movie trivia night and more!   2. The Salon Company replaces The Salon Project in the Walt Whitman Shops. The new salon is inside Saks Fifth Avenue at 230 Walt Whitman Rd. and the salon kept the same employees. They are currently taking appointments which you can call for. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Oceanside man dies in crash on LIE in Plainview. The 89-year-old man was killed when his truck was stopped in the LIE westbound HOV lane at Exit 48. Another car traveling in the same direction hit the rear of his vehicle and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. (News 12 Bronx)
  4. Harborfields to host Deer Park in first ever Army/Navy football game. This inaugural high school football event will be played annually in remembrance of Fred Amore of East Northport. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the James T. Brennan Memorial Stadium. (Huntington Patch)
