COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY — The Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department is set to host its annual 9/11 Candlelight Vigil on Saturday, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The ceremony is due to take place at 7 p.m. at the Cold Spring Harbor Firemen’s Park on Main Street opposite the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department Headquarters.

The Memorial contains one of the last pieces of the World Trade Center steel and is believed to
have come from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center, according to the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department.

On hand for the vigil will be the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department and neighboring fire
departments, the Choir of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Brass Ensemble of the Cold Spring
Harbor High School, Reverend Gideon Pollach of St. John’s Church, Pastor Jack Crabtree, and,
local residents.
