1. A man was charged in the Commack bank robbery. George Swanton, 62, of Oakdale, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Monday, police said. He went into Teachers Federal Credit Union dressed as a woman on Saturday, giving the teller a note demanding cash. Swanson was charged with third-degree robbery and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. (Patch)

Paul Kutz was killed by a stray bullet in a Courtyard by Marriot hotel while visiting his son for Family Weekend at Marist College. Roy Johnson Jr., 35, and Devin Taylor, 26, were arrested in connection with the shooting. The GoFundMe has raised nearly $70,000, as of this writing.
