Crash Causes Road Closure, Fuel Spill in Huntington

The crash occurred Sunday night, fire officials said.

HUNTINGTON, NY— A road in Huntington was closed after a two-vehicle crash caused a fuel spill Sunday night.

Two SUVs were involved in the crash on Route 25A near Park Avenue at around 5 p.m., fire officials said.

Traffic was closed on Route 25A, between Park Avenue and North Woodhull Road, until wreckage from the crash was cleared.

Those who were injured from the crash were taken to Huntington Hospital by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.

Huntington Firefighters were on the scene with a heavy rescue truck, and were under the direction by Chief Robert Berry. They secured both vehicle and applied an absorbent to the roadway for the fuel spill.
