A Day of Luxury at Walt Whitman Shops
Giorno di Lusso (Italian for 'Day of Luxury') event to showcase high-end vehicles, fashion, food, wine and charity
Simon’s Walt Whitman Shops is celebrating spring by hosting the most bespoke event of the season, tailored to Long Islanders’ who enjoy the finer things. Taking place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Giorno di Lusso will feature a luxury car showcase, live runway show by Bloomingdale’s, an expert fashion panel and a charity wine and food pairing event.

o An outdoor red carpet display featuring an impressive collection of approximately 75+ high-end vehicles representing luxury brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, McLaren, Audi, Lexus and more

- Food & Wine Pairing Event, to benefit The Long Island Hospitality Ball

“We are pleased to support the Long Island Hospitality Ball and Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund,” added Ackerman. “This event brings focus to an issue that is near and dear to so many on Long Island so it is especially meaningful to have an opportunity to raise funds through Giorno di Lusso.”
The 2016 Long Island Hospitality Ball will take place June 27 at The Inn at Fox Hollow. Hosted by Alec Baldwin, the event benefits the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. The gala was created by Keith Hart, a hospitality industry mainstay and cancer survivor, to raise funds for charity by showcasing offerings from the region’s top restaurants, wine and spirit brands, nightclubs and entertainers as well as hotels and catering halls.
