Driver Injured After Car Fire In South Huntington

The blaze was reported on Sunday morning.

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY - A driver was burned after a car fire in South Huntington on Sunday morning.

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to the fire on Old Country Road and Wolf Hill Road at about 9:38 am.

Two engines were dispatched, and firefighters quickly had the blaze extinguished, under the direction of Chief Jon Hoffmann, and Assistant Chiefs Jim Glidden and Brian Christen.

The driver suffered burns on his hands and face, and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.
