Driver Seriously Injured In Huntington Station Crash

A 21-year-old man was airlifted to the Stony Brook University Hospital.

HUNTINGTON, NY--Two people were injured in a crash on Saturday afternoon in Huntington Station, with one driver sustaining serious injuries, according to Suffolk County police.

Police say Aleen Sevadjian was driving a 2018 Honda CR-V westbound on East Rogues Path waiting to make a left turn onto Lodge Avenue around 4:45 p.m. when the car was rear-ended by a 1999 Ford F-550 being driven by Josue Menjivacruz.

Menjivacruz, 21, of Glen Cove, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.

Sevadjian, 32, of Wantagh, sustained minor injuries and was taken via ambulance to Huntington Hospital.

Huntington Manor Fire Department Chief Jon Hoffmann, with assistant chiefs Chuck Brady and Brian Christen, led the response to the scene with about 20 volunteer firefighters, two engines, two heavy rescue trucks and a squad unit. The Huntington Community First Aid Squad also assisted.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
