Elderly Couple Seriously Injured In Huntington Station Crash: Police
A 90-year-old driver and his 92-year-old passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A man and woman were seriously injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Huntington Station, Suffolk County police said.
Marie Fond-Rose, 56, was stopped at a red light in a 2020 Mercedes-Benz, heading east on Pulaski Road at New York Avenue in the rightmost lane, when an eastbound 2011 Honda drove up from behind, went onto the sidewalk to the right of the vehicle, struck the side of the Mercedes-Benz and then crashed into a metal utility pole at about 6:40 p.m., police said.
The driver of the Honda, George Falkowski, 90, and his passenger, Anita Falkowski, 92, both of Huntington, were taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

Fond-Rose was taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
