$1,200 For Autism Raised By Harborfields HS Career Transition Class
The students sold dog biscuits, t-shirts, greeting cards, jewelry and candy. Proceeds help the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America.

GREENLAWN, NY — The career transition class at Harborfields High School raised $1,200 for the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America by selling dog biscuits, t-shirts, greeting cards, jewelry and candy throughout the school year, the Harborfields School District announced.
These student-run businesses provided kids with opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences.
Teacher Rhonda Lebit guided the students, who were responsible for making all of the items,
packaging, selling and managing the business bank account.

The Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America, a parent-run organization serving more than 4,000 families on Long Island, works to support people with autism in local communities. Through its fundraising efforts, NSASA provides free educational, social, and recreational opportunities to families touched by autism. NSASA also provides grants for technology, classroom materials and community outings to local school programs that serve children with autism.
